WHAT IS HIGH VOLTAGE INSULATION MATS :
 
High Voltage Insulation Mat are relatively thin mats of thickness (2mm to 3.5 mm) made of elastomeric polymers Material having a high Insulation resistance, thus imparting total safety of human being from any leakage current.

The Safe Volt Synthetic Insulating Mat- Confirming to IS 15652 : 2006 has superseded the rubber mat with IS 5424 (cold standard) as per the Govt. of India Gazette Notification No. S.O. 2086 dated 17 July 2007 and duly tested by central power research Institute.

The Safevolt insulating Mat is a Safety product offering high level of the dielectric strength up 65,000 volt.
 
RECOMMENED USE OF INSULATING MAT :
 
Safevolt Insulating Mat are in total safety in from electric shock for a workman working in or around the electrical insulation as follows -
 
1.
The mat is spread in front of the 11 kv switchgear panels / VcB). The fault occurring in the breakers includes short cut. of Bus bars, blowing of spouts and bursting of oil tank of Switchgear (in  some cases). The operator operating the said 11 Kv switch-gear is clearly in the safe zone of the safety if he is standing on the synthetic insulated mat.
   
2.
Battery Rooms of the Substations by proving Synthetic Insulated Mat. There is complete Safety of the workers cin the said zones during leakage current.
   
3.
The insulating mat can be used in front of 33 kv and 66 kv remote panels to protect against leakage currents.
 
4.
Generator rooms for safety against leakage current.
5.
The most important use of the mat is in 66 kv/33 kv yard where the shift staff has to operate the breaker / Isolators manually in case remote control does not function ) . The operator can place the insulated mat in front of the marshalling box thus full – proof protection against the leakage current, if any.
